I'm not pissed at the world. I'm pissed at the people in it because we can do SO much better.
— Antigone

Let it be sarcasm

I would certainly hope sarcasm intended in that statement or are we to understand the jobs and 'prosperity' a fair trade for the health hazard that comes with them? You can't buy happiness or health - even with the swanky health coverage provided by the oil companies or the assortment of other perks lavished on their mules for societal detriment. As oil execs say: "When the company's paying, money is no object" & even in an economy of cost-cutting & downsizing, oil companies need not cut employee perks when they're fakin the ass out of the American public to fund ritzy hotels & expense accounts while the rest of us pay out of pocket. Sorry, we've no love for any of it & would love nothing more than to see it crumble & replaced with SMART alternatives but we all know these oily faks keep Washington greased to make sure that never happens. Look around - the only ones doing well today are those associated with oil. Everyone else is bent over the oil barrel taking it up the ass sideways.
