Bush Pulls Yet Another W

Yet again, US president George W. Bush showcased his command of the English language in a ‘slip of the tongue’during a recent education event when he made reference to the plural of ‘child’ as ‘childrens’ in his statement: ‘As yesterday’s positive report card shows, childrens do learn…………..’ He was trying to take credit for the results of his No Child Left Behind Law but instead ended up sounding like one of the kids left behind. We choose ‘slip of the tongue’ as the ‘politically-correct’ term as not to hurt Bush’s feelings when he makes it clear to us that English just wasn’t his best subject and despite all these years occupying the White House he’s still basically clueless on just about everything that matters. Maybe the ‘childrens’ are learning but it doesn’t seem W learned much while he was in school. Keep it up W – we all need a good laugh from time to time.
