Could the Real America Please Stand Up?

I know what you are thinking. You are thinking that the title refers to a new song by EMINEM and for some reason, I decided to comment on it. Granted, he has a new album out but this is not what I am referring to. Perhaps I have been influenced by his new album which I like because it is completely politically incorrect. As usual, I bet, that everybody is going to attack EMINEM for his homophobic and misogynist lyrics. You know what, I actually like his album not because I dislike homosexuals or women. On the contrary, I actually think that homosexuals are great and bright people. As for women, I do like them a lot even if they are a pain in the bum, at times.

I like the new album because it shows the real America. I like it for the same reason that I like South Park. Neither the new EMINEM album nor South Park are actually insulting in themselves. At the end of the day, do not listen to the CD and do not watch the program. What actually is insulting is the truth both portray about the ol' US of A. It is not a secret that a large part of the population are uneducated, racist, homophobic morons. Americans portray Obama's election as something unique while they should be ashamed for not having done it many-many years ago. I was not born in the US but if I remember correctly, the Civil War has something to do with slavery, right?

The truth is that a significant percentage of the population remains racist. Surely, you all know what happened a few days ago. An 88 year old geriatric went into a Holocaust museum and shot a black guard dead. Of course, it is his right to deny that the Holocaust ever happened. After all, there are still people who believe that the Earth is flat or that God really exists. However he had absolutely no right to go on a killing spree just because he hated Jews or because he was afraid that Obama would take his guns away. Apparently he never heard of democracy.

Unfortunately, this is not the only incident in which innocent people. were shot A week before that event, a crazy mother-foker shot dead an abortion doctor because clearly he did not agree with a woman's right to an abortion. Guess what, there are many people I disagree with, but I will never go on a killing spree. Again, I guess, the killer has never heard of democracy and the right to disagree.

Somebody can claim that these are isolated incidents and we cannot blame the entire US population. Of course we cannot; I never said we should. However the fact remains that a specific part of the population are racists, homophobic and in general, phobic to the different. But what do you expect from the only Western country which allows capital punishment and gun ownership? Here you have a country which executes criminals like China and allows its population to bear arms. Guess what morons. It is highly unlikely that the average educated American will want to have guns. It is most probably the uneducated racist ones which loooove their guns. So here you have a country which allows guns to people who shouldn't go near them.

What I also find interesting about those people is that most of them fit a specific profile. They are right-wing, GOP voters and religious. I really do not like stereotypes but how many liberal, Democrat voters and non-believers have you recently seen going on a shooting spree? I tend to follow the news closely and I have seen none. The fact remains that a big part of the US population is ignorant, arrogant, right-wing righteous religious nutters who love guns. Jee, they can even elect people like Bush and Cheney with disastrous results for humanity. As long as these people can influence elections and bills, not only the US but the whole world is in danger. What happened in DC or Kansas will most certainly happen again. It is only a matter of when and where not if.

There are many reasons as to why this happens, but hatred is at the core. Hatred about something or someone different who shares different values than you do. But hatred is instigated by hardship and by thinking that you are a second class citizen, may be because you do not have the same privileges and opportunities like others. It is because there is a huge inequality between people. It is because of the extreme capitalism which allows the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer. Couple that with the well-known American patriotic propaganda in both school and news and gun availability and what you end up with is a unique volatile situation.

So here you have it. If you want to stop these shootings the first thing you have to do is ban all guns and fak NRA. Then educate people and provide everybody with equal opportunities, free education and free health care. Ooops I start sounding like a socialist and we all know how bad China and Cuba are, right? Wrong you moron. These countries are communist countries. Why don't you check countries like Denmark or Sweden instead? For as long as you let the dead idea of the American Dream to be the excuse of the American way of life, you will continue to have nutters ready to kill. But, of course, this is what the US elite really wants. An uneducated, fearful, patriotic crowd is easier to manipulate and get rich upon. Banks steal your money and you bail them out. Governments send you to the other side of the world to protect the oil companies' interests and you thank them. You even send Christian missionaries there too. It seems that Americans have entered the point of no return and I start to wonder if there is salvation for them. Not from Devil, but from the Evil which is the elite making money in the name of freedom and the American Dream.
