Canada's southern neighbour does it yet again

The bigotry of the current US administration is known for the lack of boundaries. They did not have a problem to invade and destroy Iraq. Would they care if they put forward illogical proposals to Canada? After all, many Americans refer to Canada as the state up there since they do not know that Canada is a separate sovereign country.

So what did the Americans ask this time? Something very simple. According to the new proposal by the infamous Dept. of Homeland Security, Canada's airlines will be ordered to hand over personal information about passengers who take flights that go south over U.S. airspace en route to sunny destinations. Yes, you are not hallucinating. If you do not believe me, read this. This is what the Americans now want. Let's say that you live in Winnipeg and have arranged for a vacation in Cuba. Under the proposed measure, the Americans can refuse entry of the plane to their airspace because they do not like you. Perhaps your name is Ali or some dodgy foreign one. Who knows; soon enough they will also ask everybody to bend over for some up close and personal examination. They are already screening passengers on their in-flight book habits.

All that, in the name of security. I have a proposal as well. Since the Americans are so paranoid why don't they close their borders? They should become isolated and never let any American out. Stop all flights in and out. Ah, do not forget to move the United Nations HQ to Geneva. Perhaps, then, not only the US but the rest of the world will finally be a safer place.
