Abuse, Violence and Lies

So here we are again. I guess some things never change on this poor planet; like the constant onslaught and abuse of young and innocent kids by the Un-holy Catholic Church. Unless you live on Mars, you must have heard about the huge scandal in Ireland where priests and nuns were abusing and raping kids for years. It has finally been exposed and people are screaming for justice. I doubt if anything happens. Most probably, the Vatican will pay a few millions and that will be the end of it. Welcome to hell.

Of course, abuse and violence are not only endemic to Catholicism. Orthodoxy has contributed an equal share to pain and suffering. BBC has a video showing a rehab centre where drug addicts are being beaten and guess what? It's affiliated with the Orthodox Church. Obviously they consider this an effective method of rehabilitation from drug addiction. After all, it's being conducted under the watchful eye of the religious icons decorating the walls. Guess that makes it holy indeed!

One can say, that in both cases, you should blame individuals not religion. But you see, people forget about the denials and the cover-ups. In both cases, both Churches should publicly acknowledge what happened and apologise. But, of course, it is not the first time that Christian establishments have commited crimes and gotten away with it completely or merely with a small punishment. For 2,000 years they have caused nothing more than pain and suffering to mankind. In the name of their God and Christ, they have butchered millions and committed genocide. Until when will people continue to believe in their BS?

And do not tell me that religious establishments and God are separate because they are not. God's notion is being used by religions everywhere as a method of controlling people and exercising power. If God exists, then he is a twisted fak for allowing His Churches to rape, abuse and murder in His Name. The BS I keep hearing that He has a plan is as twisted as He and His followers. An omnipotent and omnicient entity does not have the need to have a plan and let people suffer. Why is it so difficult to see this logic? Bottom line is this: God has been created by humans to explain the unexplained and like everything else, it is being used to cause pain and suffering.

I am sick and tired of what is going on in the world in the name of God. Look at those Muslim morons in Athens lately: Police clashed with hundreds of Muslim immigrants in central Athens in an escalating protest over reports that a policeman had defaced a copy of the Quran during a routine inspection earlier this week. Then, later some Greek-Christians burnt an area used by Muslims as a mosque. Guess what morons from both religions? The Quran, the Bible, the Tora and whatever else are out there are nothing but mythology written by men many years ago. There is absolutely no value in them. You do not need them to live a happy, fullfilling and ethical life. On the contrary, your lives will be better off if you just burn all these fake books that are destroying humanity.

well, I don't really agree with this post. Why should 1 live ethical life where he does crime & other bad things. A person belonging from any religion have the fear of GOD in his heart where else an atheist don't have any fear of God as they don't believe that God exits. You think every thing is done by the nature ! but who runs the nature ? Who made this World ?

Quran & bible are 2 books from the God . Quran never had any change from the time of it's reveal . bible have got some changes though.

Simple thinking, typical of theists

So here we are again. Quran is wrong but Bible is right. Give me a break. Also, your way of thinking regarding who runs this nature and who made this world, is actually one of Acquinas principles to prove that god exists. However, it carries the seeds of its own destruction because we can equally ask the same about god. Who made god? Who runs god, especially when he is doing all these nusty things.

Furthermore, have you seen many atheists kill and destroy in the name of a non-god? Have you seen many atheists try to assimilate religious people to their non-belief? Let's face it, religious people kill and destroy in the name of their god. History and current news exchibit many examples.

Finally, you do not need to believe and /or fear god to be ethical and good. Goodness and ethics have evolved over millions of years in order to survive a s species.
